Texas Bluebonnets are only in the Lone Star State

It’s that time of year where the Texas Bluebonnets are in full bloom. Late March and early April is the prime time to see the official state flower of Texas, the Bluebonnet. There is a myth that the Spaniards brought the flower with them when they began to expand and colonize what is now Mexico and Texas, but all signs pout to that being false. You see, Texas is the only place in the world that you can see the Bluebonnet. And what a sight they are to see! You can see fields of blue that stretch for miles. It’s truly an experience! Once you head out of the large metropolitan areas, you will be stunned just how beautiful Texas is. And the scent of the flower is so sweet and rich that you can’t help but to stop and smell the flowers. Another myth surrounding the Bluebonnet is that …

Discovering Waterfalls in Iceland

Do you remember in 2010 when Iceland had that major volcanic eruption that caused massive disruption to air travel? Well, Mount Eyjafjallajökull is the volcano to blame for all of that, and the Skogafoss Waterfall is located very nearby. So naturally, I had to see the Skogafoss Waterfall. It is perhaps one of the most famous waterfalls in all of Iceland. If you’re ever going to take a trip there, you can find it Southern coastline near Skogar. I was fortunate enough to travel to Iceland in December 2015 and take a 10-day tour of the entire country. Out of all the magnificent sites the country has to offer, some of my favorite ones are the waterfalls. There is just something about the sound of the water hitting the rocks below that is soothing to hear. Skogafoss Falls is one of the tallest the country has to offer at nearly …

Glacier National Park is so Peaceful

One of the most beautiful places that I have ever visited was Glacier National Park. Furthermore, it was my first time in the State of Montana, and I completely understand why they call it Big Sky Country! And I have to be honest, I absolutely despise cold weather, so naturally, I had a shred of hesitation hidden in my excitement for this trip. See, growing up in Nebraska, I’ve experienced some cold weather and have done everything in my adult life to stay in the South where it’s warm. Now, this was the first time in almost 20 years that I made a conscious decision to go and be cold.  I had a pretty good idea of what I needed to pack to be able to stay warm so that I could enjoy my time there. Of course, I packed all of the essentials, base layers, thermals, hats, gloves, neck …

RV Show & Full-time RV Living – Completely Satisfying

So it all started about three years ago when I decided to begin living in my motorhome full-time. To this day, it has been one of the best decisions that I’ve made. Most people love their possessions and afraid to downsize their belongings. I have to tell you, that was one of the most liberating experiences that I’ve ever had. My wife and I have always wanted to live a life of freedom on the open road; once we decided to do this full time, we haven’t looked back since! We had first become interested after accidentally stumbling across an RV Show while on a road trip and have been obsessed ever since! Freedom Being able to have only what we need and can fit in our motorhome has opened our eyes to what is truly important in our lives. Rather than being distracted by “stuff,” we can put our …
